![]() Queen Margaret Rose
The Red Hatters of Rosetown was founded in April 2004 by Queen Sassy Bev. In August 2007, the crown was passed on to Queen Margaret Rose. Our chapter is a sisterhood of an extraordinary blend of women. We are at a place in time where we can...flourish in the freedom we have earned, to live life as we choose...express ourselves as we never dared before...dance as if no one else is watching...embrace all that has transpired in our personal odysseys...lavish ourselves with love, without restraint...savour our bodies, that may have had to expand over the years to hold all the love and wisdom we‘ve acquired!...celebrate and honour our age, our relationships, our successes, our abilities, our wisdom, and our experiences. Our intent is to gussy up in purple and red…age gracefully…giggle…seek the positives…appreciate ourselves and each other…howl...strengthen our friendships…chuckle…spread some joy…gad about...laugh…indulge in a diet coke and a seven layer cake…cackle...respect each others' differences...shop…snicker...share…act silly...giggle some more…and “do lunch” as often as we can!!
![]() The Red Hat Society derives its magic from the same principles that made childhood such an incredible time. It encourages each of us to live every day with joy, and a renewed sense of anticipation that comes from belonging to a group of friends who invite each other to join them in some carefree play and perhaps a little adventure?
The idea for the Red Hat Society is based on the poem
To be a Red Hatter,
